Community Risk Reduction (CRR) is the identification and prioritization of risks followed by the coordinated application of resources to minimize the probability or occurrence and/or the impact of unfortunate events.  Flagler County Fire Rescue accomplishes this goal by utilizing the following:

  1. Focus on prevention:

It prioritizes proactive measures to reduce risks rather than just responding to incidents.

2. Data-driven approach:

Uses data analysis to identify high-risk areas and populations within a community.

3. Community engagement:

Involves public education campaigns, outreach programs, and collaboration with local organizations to raise awareness and implement safety measures

4. Risk assessment and prioritization:

Identifies the most significant risks within a community and focuses efforts on mitigating them.

5. Multifaceted strategies:

May include code enforcement, fire safety education, emergency preparedness planning, and targeted interventions based on identified risks.
