Logistics Division

Logistics Division – Fire Department

The Logistics Division is the foundation of operational readiness and safety for our Fire Department. Dedicated to supporting every aspect of front-line service, the division ensures that personnel, apparatus, and facilities are equipped, supplied, and maintained to the highest standards.

Medical Supply & Distribution

At the heart of the division is the Medical Supply Warehouse, a centralized hub that stores and manages critical medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and consumables. Our team ensures accurate inventory control, quality assurance, and the timely delivery of medical supplies to all fire stations. The Logistics team conducts deliveries to ensure each station is fully stocked with life-saving materials, from basic first-aid items to advanced life support supplies.

Procurement & Budget Management

The Logistics Division also conducts purchasing and budget management functions for supplies and equipment. Working closely with vendors and department leadership, our team handles procurement, contract negotiation, and financial planning. We ensure that all purchases meet operational needs, comply with regulatory standards, and align with the department’s budget priorities. Through careful cost tracking and forecasting, we maintain fiscal responsibility while maximizing operational effectiveness.

Safety Equipment Testing & Maintenance

A key responsibility of the Logistics Division is ensuring the safety and reliability of critical firefighting equipment. We coordinate the annual inspection, testing, and maintenance of essential gear, including:

  • Bunker gear (turnout gear)
  • Fire hose
  • Fire pumps
  • Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)
  • Rescue tools and equipment

By managing a detailed service schedule and partnering with certified testing agencies, the division ensures that all equipment meets NFPA standards and is in peak working condition. This proactive maintenance program plays a vital role in keeping our firefighters safe and prepared for the rigors of emergency response.
