Public Works

The Public Works Department operates as the Road and Bridge Department for Flagler. The department provides long-range planning, design, construction, and maintenance of Flagler County’s transportation infrastructure and Capital Projects. Combined work efforts contribute significantly to the safety of Flagler County’s road and drainage systems for the benefit of its residents and visitors.

Public Works plays an important role in the coordination and completion of clean-up processes both during and after natural disasters. This includes extensive reporting to FEMA for reimbursement purposes.

Staff is responsible for administering, tracking, and providing in-house labor and equipment required for the completion of various grant and capital projects as related to the construction and maintenance of county roads and facilities.
