Marine Rescue

The Flagler County Fire Rescue Marine Rescue Team was established in 2011 and currently consists of 13 dedicated members, including captains, lieutenants, and firefighter/paramedics, who are distributed across all three shifts. The team’s expertise extends to a wide range of rescue operations, including beach and surf rescues, open water rescues, inland marine rescues, the recovery of missing aircraft, and wildlife rescue. Additionally, we have assisted the Flagler County Sheriff's Office in backwater and shallow water search operations.
Each team member is required to complete annual recurrent training in physical fitness and equipment operation to maintain the highest level of readiness. Our fleet includes jet skis, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), a marine pickup truck, and our newest asset, a fireboat, which significantly enhances our ability to perform both on-shore and off-shore technical rescues.
As a team, we take great pride in utilizing the skills developed through rigorous training and hands-on experience with our equipment to effectively serve the community and enhance public safety across the county.
