February 25, 2025 – The thing about emergency managers is that they themselves are always in preparation mode to improve local disaster preparedness efforts on behalf of the community. To that end, Flagler County Emergency Management has issued a short survey – Flagler County Emergency Management 2025 Community Preparedness Survey – to assist the department in measuring, and improving, its own efforts.
“This will help us better understand how prepared our community is for disasters, and where we need to direct future programs,” said Emergency Management Director Jonathan Lord. “The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete, and the information will be used solely to improve local disaster preparedness.”
The survey is like one conducted nationally by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The survey is open now and will be available through Friday, March 21.
“Hurricane Season will be upon us in no time, June 1, but preparedness efforts should be year-round,” Lord said. “Taking a few minutes to complete this survey will go a long way in helping us to help you.”
