The Flagler County Transit Development Plan is Undergoing a Major Update

Flagler County Public Transportation (FCPT) is announcing a public comment period for the Draft Flagler County 2026-35 Transit Development Plan (TDP), located in the Flagler County Board of County Commissioners Meeting Agenda for March 16, 2026 (Item #7-f) and as an attachment: click here.

In order to receive State Block Grant Funds for transit system operations, each transit agency must develop a Transit Development Plan (TDP) Major Update every five years and an annual update/progress report for all other years.  The Flagler County 2026-35 Transit Development Plan (TDP) is FCPT’s ten-year strategic plan for improving public transportation services and supporting facilities and equipment. The TDP documents existing conditions, evaluates current services, and identifies transit needs and opportunities. It also defines a prioritized implementation program for service, capital, and policy actions over the ten-year planning horizon. As a five-year major update, this TDP also provides the documentation and supporting analyses needed to guide near-term decision making and to position FCPT to pursue state and federal funding for eligible transit investments.

Development of the TDP followed a structured process designed to connect community needs with feasible and fundable recommendations.

The public comment period for the Draft 10-Year TDP Report will end at 5:00 pm on March 16, 2026.

Please submit any comments you may have on the Flagler County 2026-35 draft TDP to Trevor Martin, Transportation Manager, at tmartin@flaglercounty.gov by 5:00 pm on March 16, 2026.
