December 15 , 2025 – Flagler County is proud to announce the launch of the Flagler County Beach Brief (www.Flagler-County-Beach-Brief.com), a new online landing page providing real-time updates on the county's comprehensive beach nourishment and restoration efforts along its 18-mile Atlantic coastline,
The dedicated page serves as a central hub for residents, visitors, and stakeholders to stay informed about progress under the Flagler County Beach Management Plan, adopted on October 16, 2023. The plan outlines seven goals and ten implementation strategies, emphasizing physical restoration through beach and dune nourishment, supported by partnerships with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and local entities.
The new landing page features detailed project timelines, drone footage, funding breakdowns, permit statuses, and photo updates to ensure transparency and community engagement. "We are committed to protecting and enhancing our precious coastline for future generations," said Flagler County Administrator Heidi Petito. "This landing page will provide constant, accessible updates as we continue these vital restoration efforts.
