Flagler County Public Library offers free programs

April 27, 2026 – Flagler County Public Library offers a variety of programs for adults for the last week of April and into May.

Bunnell Library @ NEXUS (Bunnell branch, 2199 Commerce Parkway, Bunnell):

  • From 3 to 5 p.m. April 28, adults can learn about “Cutting the Cord,” which means canceling traditional cable or satellite TV in favor of cheaper and more flexible streaming services like Netflix or Hulu.   • Chair Yoga is gentle yoga designed for individuals with limited mobility or older adults. A class is available from 10:30 to 11:30 p.m. on April 29.

Palm Coast Branch Library (2500 Palm Coast Parkway NW, Palm Coast):

  • Adults are invited to join like-minded people for Creative Writing from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on April 28. This class welcomes writers of all levels to explore various forms of creative writing, including fiction, poetry, memoirs, and more. Join us for guided exercises, lively discussions, and constructive feedback to help bring your stories to life. No registration is required.   • Join the Movie Matinee from 1 to 4 p.m. May 1. This movie is a musical drama based on a true story about Mike and Claire Sardina, two down-on-their-luck Milwaukee musicians who form a Neil Diamond tribute band named “Lightning and Thunder.” The film follows their rise from dive bars to local stardom, focusing on their loving relationship, personal hardships, and musical passion.
  • Book Fest 2026 is back on May 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This exciting literary event features more than 40 local authors eager to share their stories, discuss their writing journeys, and showcase their books. Whether you’re a fan of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or children’s literature, there will be something for everyone. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to meet talented writers, support the local literary community, and discover your next great read.   • Yoga @ the Library – stretch, breathe, and unwind from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 6. Whether a pro or stepping on the mat for the first time, this is a calm and friendly place to stretch the worries away. Registration is required, 386-446-6763.   • Book and Bake Sale (and Car Show) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 9. The sale is held in the meeting room and under the front porch. All proceeds go to library programming and enhancements. Credit cards and cash are accepted, but no large bills. Checks will be accepted with a valid driver’s license.
  • General Knowledge Trivia from 1 to 2 p.m. May 16. Got a brain full of random facts? Put it to the test. Come solo or bring a team. Light refreshments and fresh coffee will keep minds sharp and spirits high. Claim trivia bragging rights and prizes.
