February 24, 2026 – Flagler County officials want to inform residents that the main access point for the emergency dune restoration work will remain at the River-to-Sea Preserve through March. It was initially anticipated that the work would relocate farther north about mid-March.
“Our contractor has adjusted his plan and will no longer relocate to Washington Oaks Gardens State Park,” said County Engineer Hamid Tabbasian. “The current plan is to stay at River-to-Sea for the remaining duration of work, which should be ongoing until the end of March.”
Officials ask residents and visitors to use caution around the construction equipment and sand delivery trucks.
