Hour-long workshops provide general emergency preparedness information

January 12, 2026 – Flagler County Emergency Management is hosting monthly Community Preparedness Workshops to provided general preparedness information, practical tips, and strategies to keep households safe and ready for emergencies. The workshops are brief – one hour – and offered at a variety of times.

“This is a great way for residents to learn how to build a kit, make a plan, be informed, and get involved,” Emergency Management Director Jonathan Lord said. “All workshops will be identical so you might want to take one now and a second, as a refresher, later in the year.”

Workshop dates and times:

  • January 27 – 11 a.m. to noon
  • February 23 – 9 to 10 a.m.
  • March 19 – 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
  • April 21 – 4 to 5 p.m.
  • May 14 – 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
  • June 10 – 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • July 16 – 10 to 11 a.m.
  • August 17 – 2 to 3 p.m.
  • September 16 – 3 to 4 p.m.
  • October 16 – 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
  • November 2 – 9 to 10 a.m.
  • December 3 – 4 to 5 p.m.

Register at FlaglerCounty.gov/Emergency and click on “Community Training.” Those who do not have internet access can call 386-313-4200 to register.
