November 26, 2025 – Flagler County officials want to inform residents that the main access point for the emergency dune restoration work will shift from Old Salt Park to MalaCompra Park on Monday, December 1.
“The contractor will be working to demobilize and remove all equipment from Old Salt Park and begin mobilization to MalaCompra after Thanksgiving on Monday,” said County Engineer Hamid Tabbasian. “Sand deliveries will likely start on Friday (December 5).”
Officials ask residents and visitors to use caution around the construction equipment and sand delivery trucks.
Old Salt Park will reopen by December 5. The work at MalaCompra Park is expected to continue through mid-January pending weather delays.
