DC BLOX and Google Bring Cutting-Edge Connectivity to Flagler County
Published on July 10, 2025
July 10, 2025 – Flagler County and the City of Palm Coast are thrilled to announce the arrival of two major players in the global tech and data infrastructure industry—DC BLOX and Google—to the Palm Coast Town Center. Their planned developments mark a significant leap forward in establishing the region as a strategic hub for digital infrastructure and economic opportunity.
DC BLOX will build a high-capacity, next-generation data center on 34 acres within the Town Center. The facility is designed to accommodate up to six subsea cable landings, significantly enhancing transatlantic data connectivity. The development will launch in partnership with Google’s Sol Cable Landing Station, which will connect Palm Coast to destinations including Bermuda, the Azores, and Spain. A terrestrial fiber route will also be built to link the site to Google’s cloud infrastructure in South Carolina.
“Flagler County is proud to support projects that position our community for long-term success,” said County Administrator Heidi Petito. “This is more than just an investment in infrastructure—it's an investment in our future. By enhancing our global connectivity, we’re opening doors for innovation, high-wage jobs, and continued economic diversification across the region.”
DC BLOX, a leader in digital infrastructure for emerging edge markets, is making this strategic move in collaboration with Google. Their investment demonstrates confidence in Palm Coast’s vision and potential as a gateway between North America and Europe.
Palm Coast’s location, between two major metro areas in Florida, makes it an ideal site for this type of critical infrastructure. With the addition of the Sol subsea cable system, the city is poised to become a key landing point for international data traffic.
As Palm Coast and Flagler County continue to evolve, the arrival of DC BLOX and Google represents a pivotal moment in transforming the region into a globally connected, digitally empowered community.
