May 15, 2025 –Flagler County is seeking a qualified resident to fill a vacant citizen seat on the Value Adjustment Board (VAB), which hears appeals regarding property value assessments, exemptions, and other related tax matters. The position is appointed by the Flagler County Board of County Commissioners.
To qualify, applicants must own a homesteaded property in Flagler County. No specific professional background is required, though knowledge of property valuation or interest in civic service is encouraged.
The Value Adjustment Board meets during the tax season and includes five members: two County Commissioners, one School Board member, and two citizen representatives.
