Coast to Country Issue 13

Take a look at the new edition of our digital, multi-media magazine. “Coast to Country” is a quarterly publication that offers something for everyone whether you live on the west side of the county, along the coastline, or anywhere in between.

Read stories about one of the newest special vehicle tags “Protect the Gopher Tortoise” – available at the Tax Collector’s Office – and how it came to be. Matt Patterson illustrated the license plate and is also a book illustrator. He illustrated the New York Times bestseller Of Time and Turtles. He also illustrated The Book of Turtles, which was awarded a Robert F. Sibert “Sibert Honor Book” – presented annually to five distinguished informational books for children published in the U.S.

Kids have an opportunity to win his just released book “The True and Lucky Life of a Turtle,” by entering a coloring contest (which is more of a drawing than a contest). There are three available and just to make it a little more special they will come with an autographed book plate by Patterson and author Sy Montgomery.

Learn about how departments like Flagler County Housing Services and the City of Palm Coast are collaborating with Mid-Florida Housing Partnership to bring HUD-certified housing and financial counseling directly to Flagler County.
