River-to-Sea Preserve parking lot to close temporarily on Feb. 2

Flagler County officials want to inform residents that the main access point for the emergency dune restoration work will shift to River-to-Sea Preserve. The parking lot will be closed beginning February 2 (Monday) and is expected to reopen by March 13.

Cold weather shelter to open Sunday, Monday

The Sheltering Tree will be closed on Saturday night but will reopen for Sunday and Monday nights because of cold overnight temperatures that will fall below 40 degrees. The shelter, operated at the Rock Transformation Center, is not only for those experiencing homelessness, but for anyone who is without heat.
