Flagler County's Citizens' Academy is a program designed to introduce County residents to their County Government's day-to-day operations.

Participants will visit multiple county facilities and learn about each County Department, meet our County Commissioners and Constitutional Officers, and learn about other related agencies within our area.

While there is no-fee to attend this program, we do require all participants to register, as the class size is limited. We also ask all participants to generally commit to attending all sessions.

Schedule (February 18, 2026 - May 18, 2026)

Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 9am - Noon, with the exception of the last session.

  • Tourism, Economic Development & Culture | Flagler County History 
  • Flagler Executive Airport
  • Library System & Programs | Growth Management, Planning & Compliance
  • Health & Human Services | FL Department of Health
  • General Services (Parks, Land Management, Facilities, Fleet, & Transit)
  • Emergency Management | 911 | Fire Rescue
  • Agricultural Extension | Engineering & Public Works
  • Finance & Budget | Innovative Technology
  • Sheriff's Office | Supervisor of Elections |Tax Collector
  • Clerk of the Courts | Property Appraiser | School District
  • Regional Agency Roundtable | Wrap-up
  • Graduation Monday, 4:00 p.m. – Board of County Commissioners Round Table | Graduation

Registration

Registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis of those County residents able to attend all sessions.

  • Please note that the class is already full, with a waiting list.
